Magdalena is currently Chair of Nefab Group, a private Swedish company co-owned by Lindéngruppen’s business partner FAM, the Business Council of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, and the British Swedish Chamber of Commerce. She is also on the board of Currys Plc, Investor AB and Peab. Previous board positions include IKEA, Husqvarna and Volkswagen’s global Sustainability Council.
From 2009 to 2022, Magdalena was the President and CEO of Systembolaget, a Swedish government-owned retailer of wines, beers and spirits with revenues of SEK 40 bn (£3.1bn). During her tenure, this business went through a transformation focused on a new customer journey and the introduction of an online system and service. She also made sustainability part of the higher purpose of the business and engaged all stakeholders in the transformation.
Before joining Systembolaget, Magdalena held positions with Arla Foods, Nestle, Diageo and Procter & Gamble.
Magdalena is a Swedish national. She graduated with an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics. She is based in Sweden but has previously lived and worked for 14 years in the UK.
