Lindéngruppen company Colart has welcomed Linda Dauriz to its Board of Directors. Linda joined Colart on 1 January 2025 and brings over two decades of experience in strategic leadership positions in the consumer goods and fashion industries.
We speak with Linda about what she brings to Colart, what attracted her to the company and the potential she sees going forward.
Hi Linda, please tell us about your experience and what you bring to Colart
As the former CEO of Tiger of Sweden, the Director of Customer Experience & Corporate Development at Hugo Boss and working for McKinsey & Company for 11 years, I have been involved in many initiatives to drive profitability and repositioning brands for international growth. I believe that my experience in brand management, direct-to-consumer business and international growth will be particularly valuable to Colart.
What attracted you to Colart?
I am inspired by Colart’s mission to inspire artists worldwide as the leader of sustainable creative brands. The fact that Colart is a Certified B Corporation™ (B Corp™) company is a testament to the company’s commitment to being a force for good and a leader of sustainable transformation in the art material industry.
Colart’s heritage brands are equally inspiring with Winsor & Newton (founded in 1832), Lefranc Bourgeois (founded in 1720), Conté à Paris (founded in 1795) and Liquitex. Did you know that Winsor & Newton was once the brand of choice for legendary artists like JMW Turner, Matisse, Picasso and Van Gogh?
What potential do you see for Colart?
I look forward to collaborating on innovative strategies that place the consumer at the heart of everything we do by enhancing our understanding of why consumers choose our products. There is also huge potential to be unlocked in terms of Colart’s exceptional heritage brand portfolio by bringing the stories of Colart’s brands to life.
What drives you professionally?
I have a passion to explore the full potential of brands by seeing the entire business through the eyes of the consumer with a deep understanding of consumer needs and desires. I am also a curious person who enjoys learning about new businesses and working with various stakeholders.
What other projects you are currently involved in?
I work with a diverse portfolio of companies – from technology and software-as-service companies to family-owned consumer product companies. I feel these differences in terms of leadership styles, governance, and B2B and B2C models allow me to promote evolution and cross fertilisation among the companies I work with. In an increasingly volatile and disruptive world, this is more important than ever.
