Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) is a leader in developing methods to help companies, municipalities and other organisations that seek to work strategically with sustainable development and contribute to society's transition to greater sustainability.
In 2016, Lindéngruppen and BTH entered into a long-term strategic collaboration. Lindéngruppen provides funding of 15 million SEK over five years to help BTH develop and expand its ground-breaking research in the field of strategic sustainable development.
The collaboration is focused on capacity building in the area of strategic sustainable development. The financial support provided makes it possible to further develop the sustainability research team at BTH. In return, Lindéngruppen benefits from BTH’s science-based methodology and knowledge to make strategic business decisions. As such, the collaboration fits well with Lindéngruppens purpose of owning and developing successful companies to lead the transition towards a sustainable world.
Ulf G.Lindén, the founder of Lindéngruppen, was a staunch supporter of higher education and research and had a key role in establishing BTH in the late 1980s. Jenny Lindén Urnes has continued Lindéngruppen’s collaboration with BTH, with a focus on sustainability research through the long-term strategic partnership.
